Internship/Attachment Opportunities

​Bomet County Assembly will offer internships/ attachments at the Assembly in Bomet County. The internship/attachment program is designed to provide graduate and continuing students with an opportunity to gain practice while working under the guidance of a knowledgeable, experienced, and successful supervisor. In addition, the interns/attachees will provide their services thus contributing to the mandate of the County Assembly.

Eligibility

1. An attachee MUST be a continuing student who is undertaking a diploma, or a bachelor's      degree; and attachment is a mandatory requirement for completion of his/her studies.

2. NOTE: The assembly has three (3) intakes for attachment in a year and the application timelines are as follows:

  • January to March intake- applications to be received by the 15th of January every year.
  • May to July intake- applications to be received by the 15th of April every year.
  • September to November intake- applications to be received by the 15th of August every year.

3.The internship programme is open to:

  • unemployed Kenyan graduates from training institutions who completed their bachelor's degree or diploma courses within the last two years and have not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study.
  • graduates of bachelor's degree and diploma programmes, for whom internship is a requirement for registration by their respective professional bodies.

4.Eligibility will be based on the following criteria:

  • The internship shall be undertaken only once after graduating from a course;
  • The internship programme shall be for persons who have completed their training and graduated.

Application Procedures

Candidates must complete the internship/attachment application form and submit it with their cover letter, detailed resume, a copy of their Identification Card and one coloured passport photo. All application items must be submitted as a complete package. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
